Tom Robinson Tom Robinson

With more than 12 years in executive search where he held key leadership roles for two of the world’s top firms, Tom has recently co-founded RobinsonButler, a boutique executive search firm focused on what they do best - recruiting the top “C” level Life Science talent in America, Europe and Asia.  Previously he was the Managing Director for Russell Reynold’s Global Medical Device Practice.  Tom previously led the Global Medical Technology Practice at SpencerStuart for 10 years. Building upon 20 years of industry experience in top healthcare companies, he leads senior level searches for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to Tom's executive search experience, he was President of the emerging markets business at Boston Scientific Corporation, responsible for all markets in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Canada. Earlier he was President of Brunswick Biomedical, a cardiology startup, and General Manager of a business unit of Cardinal Health. Tom started his healthcare career at American Hospital Supply Corporation, where he held various sales and marketing positions within the V. Mueller operating room division.

Tom is on the Board of Directors of Cynosure, a NASDAQ-listed public medical device company where he serves as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He also is on the Board of Directors of Sanuwave, another NASDAQ-listed public medical device company. Tom is a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvard Business School Healthcare Alumni Association and a Co-Chair of the Global Annual Conference.

Tom received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.A. in mathematics and economics from Brown University. He played varsity baseball and basketball during his years at Brown.
